GERALD BROOKS WAHLEN

Gerald Brooks Wahlen met his Lord and Savior on the evening of Aug. 25, 2012.

Jerry was born, Dec. 3, 1937, in Chicago at the Swedish Covenant Hospital. He was the first born of Lawrence Marshall and Helen Louise. At age 6, he moved with his parents to Rochester, Minn., then on to Navarre, Minn. In high school he excelled in basketball and music. He loved skiing and tennis. He graduated from Mound High

School.

With a beautiful tenor voice, he attended Northwestern College in Minneapolis as a music major. He had an outgoing personality, loved people, music, working with his hands and had a passion for hunting, fishing, cycling and being outdoors.

His wife, Arlene, preceded him in death. He leaves his father Lawrence; sons, Kent, Erik (Christina, Jack, Becca and Ana) Trevor (Pam); daughters, Kerry (two children and two great grandchildren), Renee (Blake), Corinne (Christopher, Cody, Caitlin); sisters, Patricia (Stan) Olsen, Pamela (George) Dupere and Penelope (David) Donelson and nephews and nieces, Nate, Mark, Nisse, Katherine and Molly.

Services were held on Aug. 31 a.m. at Community Church of Elkhorn. Viewing was from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.
