After having a poor week in which the Whippet girls soccer team posted a 0-3-1 record and officially fell out of conference title contention, Whitewater decided to stand tall against McFarland and play them to a double-overtime draw.

This may prove to be a huge step in the right direction as the team looks to regain it’s footing with the regional level of play coming up.

“The team played extremely well with continued effort throughout the 100 minute contest,” Ajet Dauti, head coach said. “The coaching staff is pleased with the team’s will and determination, our young ladies are amazing.”

At 8-4-1 in the conference, the Whippets find themselves three points behind Big Foot for third place in the conference and there is a limited amount of time remaining to try and improve upon that.

Coming up next, the Whippets will play three conference games against teams having difficult seasons. Whitewater travels to Jefferson first to take on the 3-13 club. After that, the Whippets get to play 0-14 Clinton.

Whitewater will finish out the regular season with a game against 4-9 Edgerton. The opportunity to finish off on a high note is there for the Whippets before the WIAA regionals start.
