After sidestepping all the glass left over from last week’s record breaking performances, the Whitewater High School boys swim team headed to Elkhorn to participate in a dual meet.

The Whippet varsity squad lost to Elkhorn 92-75, while the JV also fell, 85-59. While not the breakthrough performance the squad was hoping for, some individual performances were definitely notable.

Jason Shelbourn and Benny Lang came away with four varsity victories combined while the unit pulled out victories in the 200 Medley and the 200 Freestyle.

Seth Bols took home three third place finishes, Wentao Guo had a second and third place finish while Jon Zidmars won the 100 fly.

On the JV level, Gabe Heller won the 200 Freestyle and Chamath Gunawardena won both the 50 Freestyle and the 100 Freestyle. The JV squad won the 200 Freestyle Relay and overall the team took home two second place finishers and four third place trophies.

For the event, due to the 25-meter pool at EHS, no records were able to be kept.
