Soccer boys improve to 9-1 in RVC

With a 2-0 victory over Jefferson Oct. 3, the Whitewater High School boys soccer team won its ninth Rock Valley Conference game out 10 decisions. Overall, the team is 12-3-3.

Both Whippet goals were scored by Mark Cuevas. One goal came on a penalty kick, and the other off an assist from Alonso Banda.

 

Schedule

Whitewater had two RVC games remaining. The first was at home last Tuesday against Evansville; the second was Oct. 10, at East Troy.

WIAA Division 3 regional action gets underway Tuesday, Oct. 15. Whitewater, a No. 3 seed, hosts Wisconsin Lutheran, a No. 6 seed, in a 7 p.m. game. The winner will play on Thursday, Oct. 17.
