Soccer pulls closer

Big Foot’s Ludovic Resendiz scored the winning goal at the 1:16 mark to lead the Chiefs to a key 2-1 RVC win over McFarland Monday night.

The victory improved Big Foot to 4-1 in the RVC, just behind McFarland and Evansville, each at 5-1.

Big Foot-Williams Bay (8-5 overall) broke a scoreless tie at the 1:07 mark on a goal by Williams Bay’s Cory Shea off an assist by Logan Grunow.

The lead was short-lived, as McFarland knotted the score just six minutes later, but Resendiz needed just three minutes to punch his game winner past the McFarland goalie.

Big Foot’s Lars Larsen had seven saves in the win.

Big Foot is at Edgerton next Tuesday, Oct. 1.
