Baseball team falls in eighth inning

Big Foot High School’s baseball team tied the game at 1-1 in the fourth, but visiting Parkview won the game in the eighth last Thursday afternoon.

The loss dropped the Chiefs to 7-14 overall and 6-10 in the Rock Valley Conference. Big Foot closed the regular season Thursday at Delavan-Darien and opens Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Division 2 regional play June 2.

Zak Greco led Big Foot with three hits and an RBI against Parkview, while Mark Schauf had the Chiefs’ other hit.

Schauf took the loss in relief of Brandon Hausner, as he allowed three hits, an earned run, a walk and struck out one in two innings. Hausner worked the first five, and allowed five hits, an earned run, three walks and struck out three.
