Boys beat Palmyra-Eagle on the road

Loose to Chicago Marshall in Dream Classic

The East Troy High School boys basketball team ventured to Chicago last weekend to compete in the Martin Luther King Dream Classic and came home with a 62-42 non-conference loss to Chicago Marshall.

Statistics and more details from the game were unavailable this week. The loss dropped the Trojans to 7-5 overall.

Earlier in the week, East Troy improved to 6-1 in the RVC and stayed one game behind 7-0 McFarland with a 57-31 road win Jan. 15 at Palmyra-Eagle.

The Trojans took control early with a 15-5 lead in the first quarter and a 29-10 advantage by halftime.

Joseph Ciriacks led the way with 11 points, followed by Justin Growel with 10 and Will Iloncaie, Connor Mitchell and Matt Kaminski each with seven.

East Troy was back in action Tuesday night against visiting Beloit Turner. Results of that contest were unavailable by press time. The Trojans travel to Whitewater Friday night for an RVC matchup with the Whippets.
