Golf team wraps conference season

Kruger, Spaight earn all-conference first team honors

The East Troy High School girls golf team competed in its final conference tournament Sept. 23 at Riverside Golf Course in Janesville.

East Troy place third for the tournament today. Ali Kruger shot a 102 which was good for a fourth overall finish. Jessi Spaight and Lili Haskins shot a 107 which tied for tenth place. Jessi did win the tie breaker to officially take tenth place overall.

As for the final conference standings for the 2014 season, East Troy ended up in second place behind Cambridge. It was a very competitive season with several of the conference teams very close together. Overall, the conference season proved to be very competitive.

“We are now preparing for the state tournament which starts with regionals at the Broadlands Golf Club in North Prairie,” coach Ryan Manske said. “The team should be competitive for a chance to reach sectionals.”
