JACOB KEIZER

      Jacob “Jack” E. Keizer, 85, of Delavan, passed away Feb. 28, 2024, at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn.

He was born in Des Plaines, Illinois, on April 26, 1938, to Albert and Catherine (Miedema) Keizer. Jack was united in marriage to Lucy Ipema on July 26, 1957. She passed away in September, 1991. Jack ran the Keizer Family Farm and Keizer and Son Disposal Service. He was an active member of Delavan Christian Reformed Church.

Jack is survived by his two daughters, Ruth (Russ) Shehan, of Elkhorn, and Karen (Paul) Yanko, of Delavan; three sons, Albert (Renee) Keizer, of Belleville, Henry (Rhonda) Keizer, of Delavan, and David (Carol) Keizer, of Delavan; two daughters-in-law, Beth and Sue; 14 grandchildren, Josh (Mattie) Keizer, Amanda (Jake) Leiser, Tyler Keizer, Sam Keizer, Kyle Keizer, Abby (Skyler) Papcke, Dena (Kyle) Lippold, Jesse (Hannah) Keizer, Katie Keizer, John Keizer, Megan Yanko, Dan Keizer, Amber Yanko, and Kinley Shehan; four great grandchildren; and two sisters, Alice (John) Lumkes, and Grace (Cal) Walstra.

Jack is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lucy; and two sons, John and Jack.

Funeral services were Tuesday, March 5, at Delavan Christian Reformed Church, 850 Oak Street in Delavan. Burial will take place at Spring Grove Cemetery in Delavan. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to Delavan Christian School.

Monroe Funeral Home in Delavan is assisting the family.
