Kathleen Keckhaver

Kathleen “Tina” Keckhaver, 67, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2023, surrounded by her loving family after battling ALS.

She was life-long resident of East Troy.

Tina’s life was dedicated to caring for others, as evidenced by her roles as a school bus driver and cook at East Troy Middle School. She found fulfillment in ensuring the safety and nourishment of the children under her watchful eye.

Beyond her professional life, Tina’s greatest joy was found in the loving embrace of her family. As she would always say “Family is everything.” She cherished the time spent with her beloved husband, Larry; children, Nathan (Katie) Hickman, Jared (Tabatha) Hickman, Kevin (Samantha) Keckhaver and Kathy (Mike) Peterson.

Tina’s heart overflowed with love and pride for her grandchildren, Skyler, Mason, Tristen, Owen, Tia, Isaac, Iris, Chase, Paisley and Olivia; and her great-grandchild, Liam, who brought immeasurable joy into her life.

She is also survived by her mother, Carol; four brothers and four sisters.

Tina was preceded in death by her dad, Gerald; and her uncle, Ronnie.

In her leisure time, Tina pursued her passions of sewing and gardening. Her nimble fingers brought life to intricate creations, and her green thumb fostered a vibrant and blooming sanctuary. Tina’s creativity and green touch were admired by all who had the pleasure of witnessing her handiwork.

Tina left a profound affect on each person who entered her life making them always feel welcomed. Tina’s memory will be forever cherished by her family and friends. Her unwavering love, selflessness, and nurturing nature will be deeply missed. As they grieve her loss, the family takes solace in the beautiful memories shared and the legacy of kindness she leaves behind.

A celebration of life will be posted at a later date.

Her family said Tina’s light will continue to shine through the lives she touched, and her legacy of love and devotion will remain an inspiration to all who were blessed to know her. May she rest in eternal peace.
