LUCILLE ANICH

      Lucille (Barnish) Anich, 97, entered her heavenly home on July 24, 2018.

Lucille was born in Rothschild, one of 13 children of immigrants, Martin and Mary Barnish. In the 1930s the Barnish family moved to South Milwaukee, where Lucille graduated from South Division High School. In 1951, Lucille married Anthony “Tony” Anich from Palmyra, and together they started the A.J. Anich Lumber Company. Lucille was a loving and devoted wife for 50 years. For many years they traveled to Mexico and Phoenix in the winter months. She was an excellent cook and homemaker who loved to entertain family and friends and play bridge. Lucille was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Palmyra and a member of the Oak Hill Homemakers.

Lucille is survived by her three children, David (Jean) of Palmyra, Debra (Paul) Nickel of Waukesha and Sharon (Kurt) Boxrud-Anich of Phoenix; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Valerie and Ann Barnish of Milwaukee; daughter-in-law Cathie Anich of Phoenix.

Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Tony, in 2001 and son, Mark, in 2000.

Funeral Mass will be on Aug. 1 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church 919 W. Main St. Palmyra, at 11 a.m. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
