DOLORES JUNE LEWIS

Dolores June Lewis, 93, died unexpectedly at her home Sept. 1, 2017.

She was born April 2, 1924, in Chicago to August Henseleit and Frieda Klaff. She married Norvin Lewis on Sept. 23, 1946 in Cook County, Ill. Norvin preceded her in death on Feb. 21, 2016. Dolores worked in the Delavan area at many establishments among them The Peek Inn, Delavan Lake, Colonial Club Inn, Darien, Heavy Duty in Lake Geneva and American Family Insurance Agency in Walworth. She was a devoted mother and spent countless hours raising her family.

She is survived by seven sons, Tom (Susan) Lewis, of Stoughton, Dale Lewis, of Florida, Jerry (Barb) Lewis, of Tyler, Texas, Steve (Mary) Lewis, of North Carolina, Raymond (Ann) Lewis, of Delavan, Jeffery (Carol) Lewis, of Waukesha, and David (Eva), of Delavan; three daughters, Susan (Ray), of Texas, April (Wayne) Ammenson, of Florida, and Julie (Bob) Rolando, of New Hampshire; 20 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband, a sister and three brothers.

A memorial gathering will take place from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Farmers Inn in Darien. The family will greet friends and refreshments will be served and stories shared.
