Jean L. Malmstrom, 92, of East Troy, found peace Aug. 15, 2017. She was born May 6, 1925, in Milwaukee, to Elton and Gertrude Schultz.
She attended Washington High School.
Jean married her loving husband, Gilbert, and they resided in Wauwatosa until their retirement when they moved to East Troy. He preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Wauwatosa Presbyterian church for more than 60 years.
Jean was a great friend of St. James United Methodist, of East Troy, and has been for many years. She was the past president of the Wauwatosa Suburban Woman’s club, co-founder of the Walworth County chapter of NAMI, and volunteered for the STEP program at the East Troy Elementary Schools.
Jean enjoyed spending time with her family and friends as she was a “people person.”
She is survived by her children, Gregg (Deb), Kathy (Rick) Anderson, and Paul; grandchildren, Matthew (Sandy), Troy (Amy), Kristen (Darren) Gallagher, Lissy, Ryan (Tiffany) Piedot, and Rob (Amy) Piedot; great-grandchildren, Adeline, Jackson, Boyd, Declan, Charlotte and Mitchell; along with other relatives and friends.
Services were held.
Legacy Funeral Services, East Troy, served the family.
