Janel A. Davis

Janel A. Davis died May 28, 2017, at her home in Holland, Michigan, surrounded by her husband and children. She was born July 31, 1940, to James William Keats and Elvie Mae Branfort near East Troy.

She was a registered nurse, graduating from the Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in Madison. She worked for many years at the Methodist Hospital as hospital supervisor.

Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Russell Davis; brother, James W. Keats (Donna), Hawley, Minnesota; son, James K. Stute, East Troy; daughter, Suzanne M. (Jeff Miller) Stute, Madison; son, Anton D. “Tony” (Tami), Baraboo; step-daughters, Kathy Davis and Roxanne Davis, Spring Green; former, husband, David J. Stute (Peg Rasch), Argyl; grandchildren, Rachel Stute, East Troy, McKenzie Stute, Baraboo, and Holden Miller, Madison.

She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Saugatuck, Michigan, and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She served as a volunteer for many organizations in the Holland, Michigan and the Columbus, Wisconsin areas and was a Red Cross Nurse for many years.

She was a music lover, an outstanding pianist, an avid reader, and a lover of art. She loved to travel and visited many countries in Europe, Asia and the Americas. She was a prize-winning photographer and enjoyed working in her gardens.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A graveside committal will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 14, at Oak Ridge Cemetery, 2308 North St., East Troy.

Dykstra Funeral Home, Holland, Michigan, is serving the family.
