MILDRED M. THOMAS

      Mildred “Millie” M. Thomas, 98, of Janesville, died Jan. 10, 2017, at Vintage on the Ponds in Delavan.

She was born in Reedsburg on Dec. 13, 1918, to Charles and Bernice (Coulter) Thiele. She married Robert L. Thomas in Watsonville, Calif., on Aug. 3, 1944, and he preceded her in death April 11, 1991. After her husband completed the military, they returned to Wisconsin and made their home in Delavan. Throughout her many years, Millie worked at Borg’s in Delavan, did housekeeping for several families and retired from Ajay Industries. Millie and Bob enjoyed many years camping, especially at their trailer on the Wisconsin River in Sauk City. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Millie enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mildred is survived by her daughter, Theressa (Mike) Roherty of Janesville; two grandchildren, Tammy (Rick) Siegl, of Verona, and Shelley (Craig) Howe, of Honey Brook, Pa.; five great grandchildren, Rick and Kylee Siegl and Alex, Mitchell and Abigail Howe; many other extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and five siblings, Clyde Owens, Charles Thiele, Jr., Theressa Altergott, Elizabeth Kerr and Gladys Hall.

A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory with the Rev. James Melvin officiating. Interment will be in Spring Grove Cemetery, Delavan.
