GERMAINE A. FOSTER

Germaine Anna (Mueller) Foster passed away Aug. 17, 2016, of natural causes.

Germaine was born in 1918 in Manitowoc. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Rex Foster; her parents, Amelia Maria (Antoine) Mueller and Nicholas Cornelius Mueller; and her sister, Eunice Bathke.

Germaine is survived by her five children, David (Norma Baitman) Foster, Deanna (Robert) Waltz, Sandra (Duane) Miller, Suzanne (Carl) Stock, and Syd (Kathryn) Foster; 13 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

As a child, Germaine attended Lake Church Elementary School and was described as “plucky” for her long treks to school from Belgium.

She and Rex both grew up in the Port Washington (Belgium) area. For eight years they resided and raised their family in Boscobel. Germaine and Rex moved to Whitewater in 1958.

Germaine was an avid sports fan supporting the Whitewater Warhawks, the University of Wisconsin Badgers, the Green Bay Packers, and the Milwaukee Brewers. She loved knitting and stitching her many craft projects. She enjoyed the many activities of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; travel with family and card games with friends.

A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 19 at Hillside Cemetery, Whitewater.

Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a donation to Rainbow Hospice of Jefferson, which would be appreciated by the family.

The Nitardy Funeral Home, Whitewater, is assisting the family. For online condolences visit www.nitardyfuneralhome.com.
