DAVID BRANFORT

David “Dave” Branfort, 64 of Union Center, died June 30, 2016, at Mayo Clinic LaCrosse. He was born July 2, 1951, in Elkhorn, to Marshall and Fern (Cummings) Branfort.

He married Jerita Ennis on Dec, 4, 1982.

He served his country with the U.S. Marines. He worked for several years with Trent Tube in East Troy. He also worked as a guard at Sand Ridge Correctional facility and will always be remembered for the 25 years he and his wife owned Dave and Jeritas Center Tap Bar, Union Center.

He had a great passion for deer season in Wisconsin and loved bow and gun hunting. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

Survivors include his wife Jerita; children, Sarah Branfort-Sake, Jacob; mother; brother, George (Sandy); grandchildren, Alexis Sake, Ashtyn, Cole and Owen Branfort; and several nieces and nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his father; brothers, John (Jack) and Francis; and sisters, Kathy and Linda.

A celebration of life will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday July 8, at Thompson Funeral Home, 402 Center St., Wonewoc. A gathering and supper at Center Tap, 330 Madison St., Union Center, will follow.

There will also be a celebration of life on Aug. 20, at the Branfort family farm in East Troy.
