Shirley M. Wagner, 91, of East Troy and Elkhorn, died April 23, 2016, in Elkhorn surrounded by her family. She was born Feb. 26, 1925, in Burlington, to the late Thomas and Verna (Eddy) Busch.
She attended St. Charles graduate school and Burlington High School. She was a cook and baker and was in the Women’s Army Core.
She married the late Francis Wagner in 1944 in East Troy and they had many. many happy years together. She was a member of the Boots and Saddle club, and the 4-H Club. She was an active member at the First Congregational UCC Church in East Troy serving on boards and committees and sharing her cooking and baking skills there.
Survivors include her sons, Thomas (Barbara), California, and James “Geno,” Elkhorn; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was further preceded in death by her daughter, Terrie Jo (Dennis); son, John (Lise); and brothers, Tomas and Robert.
Funeral services will be at noon on Saturday, April 30, at the First Congregational Church UCC, 2931 Union St East Troy. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services.
