EMMET E. SCHULZ

Emmet E. Schulz, 91, of Delavan, formerly of Stoughton, died April 13, 2016, after a short illness.

He was born Aug. 26, 1924, in Hillpoint. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Japan after Worls War II. He married Betty Jean Fry on May 10, 1947, in Hillpoint. He retired from Chase Lumber in Deforest. He was a member of the Baraboo Steam and Gas Engine Club. He was a former member of Hope Lutheran Church and a current member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lake Geneva.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Betty, of Delavan; two children, Dennis (Evelyn), of Delavan, and Dawn (Michael) Alff, of Stevens Point; three grandsons, Matt (Laurel) Schulz, of Dousman, Ross (Tonya) Alff, of Stevens Point, and Andy Schulz, of River Falls; four great-grandchildren, Emmet, Hasely, Caidyn and Asher; and a sister, Marion Gudenschwager.

Funeral services were Wednesday at Hope Lutheran Church, 3702 County Highway AB, McFarland, with the Rev. Chris Lee-Thompson officiating. Burial was at Hope Cottage Grove Cemetery.
