Roberta P. Sterken, 75, of Elkhorn, died peacefully March 29, 2016, at Agrace Hospice Care in Janesville.
She was born July 5, 1940, in Janesville, to the late Robert and Lucille (Mountford) Stardy. She married Ronald Sterken on April 21, 1973, in Lake Geneva. He preceded her in death in 1979. She enjoyed being with her family, the outdoors and working in her flower garden.
She is survived by her children, Richard Rowe Jr. and Debra Pagel; five grandchildren, Nathan, Eric and Holly Pagel and Steven and Thomas Bendever; three great-grandchildren, Kyli Pagel, Megan and Trevor Bendever; sisters Joan (David) Daniels, of Luck, Carol (Ron) Mahlman, of Minnesota, and Joyce Wichlacz, of Merrill; and a brother, Robert (Karen) Stardy, of Union Grove. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ronald; daughter Diane Bendever; and three sisters, Shirley Butler, Betty Costello and Nancy David.
Per Roberta’s request, no formal services will take place. Memorials may be made in her name to Agrace Hospice Care, 2901 N. Wright Road, Janesville, WI 53546.
