AMANDA M. FITZMAURICE

Amanda M. Fitzmaurice, 26, of Delavan, died Feb. 23, 2016, at Atrium Post Acute Care of Williams Bay after a courageous seven-year battle with leukemia.

She was born in West Allis, June 2, 1989, to Michael and Patricia (Casillas) Fitzmaurice. She was a 2007 graduate of Delavan-Darien High School and was a senior in the bio-chemical department at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She was an avid reader and loved music, fashion and school. Amanda especially enjoyed spending time with her family and her two dogs, Ava and Bella.

She is survived by her mother, Trisha Fitzmaurice, of Delavan; her father, Mike Fitzmaurice, of Janesville; a brother, Joshua Fitzmaurice; grandfather, Pablo Casillas; grandparents, Dale and Joan Fitzmaurice; special friends, Amber, Andrea and Anthony; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Ramona Casillas; and an uncle, John.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 714 E. Walworth Ave. in Delavan with the Rev. Angel Anaya officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Friday at the church. Memorials can be directed to the bone marrow transport unit at Froedtert Hospital. The family wishes to give special thanks to the oncology staff at Froedtert.
