VIVIAN F. HENDERSON

HendersonVivian      Vivian Fern Henderson, 87, of Whitewater, passed away Feb. 10, 2016, at Alden Estates of Jefferson, Jefferson.

Vivian was born in Cudahy, April 27, 1928, to Clifton and Rose (Henderson) Henderson. Vivian was a lifelong resident of Whitewater, graduating from Whitewater High School and living in the family home all her life. Vivian’s family roots trace back through the Henderson family as early settlers in Cold Spring Township.

Over the years Vivian worked at the raincoat factory in Whitewater followed by a stint at a shoe factory in Edgerton, moving onto housekeeping at Fairhaven and later the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater where she retired. She enjoyed reading, flea markets, taming of wild birds and squirrels that frequented their home and the companionship of either a cat or dog.

She is survived by her sister, Joan E. Henderson Kraege, of Whitewater; cousins David Williams, of Whitewater, Amy Williams Kaul, of McFarland, Chuck Williams, of Poway, Calif., Diana Williams Schroedl, of Whitewater, Judy Jensen, of Bailey, Colo., Suzie Feldner, of Waukesha, Fred Jordan, of Fort Atkinson and Betty and Carl Hudson, of Lancaster.

Vivian was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Allen Henderson; brother-in-law, Fred Kraege; and cousins Roger Williams, Gail Henderson and Marion Blunt.

Graveside services will be in the spring, Saturday, April 16, at 11 a.m. at Hillside Cemetery. A luncheon will follow.

The Nitardy Funeral Home, Whitewater, is assisting the family.
