Gayle Frances Gramza, 73, died Dec. 3, 2015, in the comfort of her home surrounded by family after a two-year battle with cancer. She was born April 12, 1942 to Arthur and Irene (Van Driessche) Beck.

She married Keith Richard Gramza on April 11, 1963, and together they were blessed with five children.

She worked as a registered nurse and director of nursing for 46 years and then retired.

She enjoyed bowling, shopping, making crafts and her favorite holidays were Easter and Christmas because she loved planning the activities. Over the years she had been involved in St. Peter’s Women’s Group, Kiwanis Club of Greater East Troy, Tri-Troy Ambulance, Walworth County Nursing Network, WAHSA member, St. Mary’s Alumni Association member, East Troy High School Alumni Association, and Director of Nursing Association.

Survivors include her children Lisa Bell (Gary Schwall), Dousman, Beth Leising (David Brehm), Elkhorn, Michelle (Wallace) McHenry, Genoa, Richard (Danielle), Marshfield, and Keith (Lucia), Shorewood; 14 grandchildren, on great-grandchild; sister, Patricia Burnham, Viroqua; sister-in-law, Gale Kooistra, Cross Plains; nieces, other relatives and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 10, at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 1975 Beulah Ave., East Troy. The Rev. Mark Molling will officiate.

Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.

Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral and Cremation Services, Mukwonago, is assisting the family.
