DONALD H. SNAPE

Donald H. Snape, 87, of Darien, died Nov. 18, 2015, at Mercy Janesville Hospital.

He was born May 28, 1928, in Chicago to John and Bernice Snape.

His professional career began working with his father at the family business, John W. Snape and Son Trucking in Geneva, Ill. During his time there he met and fell in love with Lois Sayer. They married in July 1951. In 1972, the Snape family relocated to Williams Bay so he could work at Montgomery Ward as the service manager in Lake Geneva. In 1974, he purchased the Circle Inn Restaurant in Williams Bay and ran it with his family until selling it in 1978.

He then went to work at Abbey Springs Resort in Fontana until 1982. In 1985, he retired from the Delavan Water Department.

Donald is survived by his children, Linda (Dan Tonyan) Smith, Pamela (Jeff) Spotz, Connie (Jeb Werner) Snape, and Mark (Annette) Snape; grandchildren, Tracy (Jacob) McHugh, Jefery Spotz, Brent (Rachel) Spotz, Robyn Fell and Abby Fell; great grandchildren, Aydann McHugh, Ashleen McHugh, Kinsley McHugh and Briella Smolarek.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois O. Snape.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at noon Saturday at Williams Bay Lutheran Church, 11 Collie St, Williams Bay.
