Alan M. Bobholz, 74, died Oct. 24, 2015 at home, surrounded by family, after an extended illness. He was born April 28, 1941, in Waterloo, to the late Merton and Mabel (Myhre) Bobholz.

He married Beverly Fink on Dec. 3, 1977, in Fort Atkinson.

He was employed as a designer for many years with Thomas Industries. He was a long time volunteer with the East Troy Electric Railroad Museum, and a past member of the Dairyland Theater Organ Society.

He enjoyed model railroading, and music, constructing violins and guitars in the past.

Survivors include his wife; son Jeffrey Carl (Vicki) Bakken; daughter Brenda (Shawn) Eckhardt; grandchildren, Brandon and Braedon Bakken, and Lucas and Skylar Eckhardt; brother Robert (Lucy); nieces, nephews other relatives and friends, especially Andrew C. Witkowski, Susan Schmidt, and the family funeral director, Michael D. Meier.

He was further preceded in death by his children, Jeffrey Alan, Dean and Trisha.

A Service of Remembrance and Thanksgiving celebrating his life will be at 1 p.m. on Sunday Nov. 1, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, W1956 Main St., Sullivan. The Rev. Michael Mannisto will officiate.

Guests will be received in the church fellowship hall following the service. Beverly and her family wish to thank Rainbow Hospice for their loving and compassionate care of Al during his final days.
