EUNICE M. GRANDT

Eunice Grandt      Eunice Mae Grandt, 83, of Baraboo, formerly of Fort Atkinson, passed away into eternal life Oct. 19, 2015, at the Oak Park Place in Baraboo, after a long battle with cancer.

Eunice was born in Whitewater on Oct. 8, 1932 the daughter of Edwin and Margaret (Peich) Maasz.

On Oct. 20, 1950, Eunice was untied in marriage with Lawrence William Grandt at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Whitewater. They were blessed with six boys, and one girl, Gary (Jan) Grandt, Dale Grandt, and Rod (Gayle) Grandt, all of Fort Atkinson, Lyle (Cherie) Grandt, Menomonie, Brian (Stacy) Grandt, Madison, Keith Grandt, Baraboo, and Lori (Todd) Halvorson, Baraboo. She is further survived by a brother, Alvin (Hazel) Maasz, Sleepy Eye, Minn.; 18 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Eunice was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Lawrence.

Eunice was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Baraboo and loved to sing in the choir with her daughter Lori.

Eunice was loved by everyone who happened to meet her; always positive and with a big smile. She will be truly missed but always remembered.

A Memorial Service will take place at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church, 301 S. High St., Fort Atkinson at 10:30 a.m., Oct. 24, 2015.

Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Atkinson.

Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015 at the church until the time of the services.

Memorials may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church music fund or to St. John’s Lutheran School in Baraboo.
