Margaret Helene Stork, 96, of Whitewater passed away on May 6, 2015, at The Glenwood of Mulberry in Whitewater.

Margaret was born in Avalon on Nov. 3, 1918, the daughter of Jacob and Lena (Kestner) Oberla. On July 14, 1945, Margaret married Alvin Otto Edward Stork in Delavan. Margaret was primarily a homemaker but she worked for Borgs and Gibbs for 9 years.

Margaret was a member of the First English Lutheran Church in Whitewater.

She is survived by three children, David (Gail) Stork, Ankeny, IA; Wayne Stork, Janesville; and Laureen Zuelke, Racine; grandchildren, Brad and Kelly; and great-grandchildren, Ava, Nina and Cooper. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Elma Oberla, and nieces and nephews.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers; and a sister.

Besides her family, Margaret received much enjoyment from drawing and painting landscape pictures, and knitting baby caps and sweaters which she donated to the church.

Per Margaret’s wishes no formal services will take place. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, June 12 at the Hillside Cemetery, Whitewater.

The family would like to thank the Rainbow Hospice staff and especially Dr. and Mrs. Kontny for their devotion to Margaret over the years.
