SALLY JOAN PULEO

Sally Joan Puleo, 76, of Delavan died at her home of natural causes on Dec. 8, 2014.

She was born June 5, 1938, in Grand Haven, Mich., to William John Bedard and Marcela Eleanor Derron. She married Peter Puleo on Aug. 16, 1958, in Island Lake, Ill.

She owned and operated her own beauty salons in Chicago and Mundelein, Ill. She worked as a furniture consultant at Carson Pierre Scott and Co. for years. Sally and Peter raised their family in Gurnee, Ill., and moved to Wisconsin in 1994. They lived in Williams Bay for 14 years and then in Delavan for six years.

Sally is survived by her husband, Peter; a daughter Kerri (nee Puleo) Hale, of Crystal Lake, Ill.; two sons, John Puleo, of Lake Geneva, and Peter (Chris) Puleo, of Beaver Dam; sisters Patricia (Bill) Weinberg, of Firestone, Colo., and Judith Strother, of Woodstock, Ga.; a brother, William (Jackie) Bedard of Firestone, Colo.; and 13 grandchildren.

A memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday at the United Church of Christ Congregational of Williams Bay with the Rev. Jean Wallenfang officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to services in the great room of the church. Memorials may be made to the Association for the Prevention of Family Violence of Walworth County. Burial in Spring Grove Cemetery will be in the spring.

Friends are invited for a light lunch and fellowship after the services in the church. Betzer Funeral Home of Delavan is serving the family.
