LILA MARIE KOCH

Lila Marie Koch, 89, of Oxford, passed away peacefully Friday morning, Jan. 2, 2015, at Divine Savior Hospital in Portage.

Lila was born in Clark County on Aug. 4, 1925, to John and Irene (Yates) Robinson. She married Herman Koch in Milton on May 2, 1946, and together they lived in the Whitewater area. Following Herman’s death in 1994, Lila lived with both of her sons and moved to Oxford in 2006 with her family.

Lila worked in the kitchen at UW-Whitewater for many years. She enjoyed puzzles, bingo, shopping, fishing, camping and deer hunting with family and friends. Lila was a member of the Oxford Seventh Day Adventist Church, but her most proud title was “Grandma” and she cherished the time she spent with family.

Survivors include her two sons, Michael, of Necedah, and Robert (Cheryl), of Oxford, seven grandchildren, Shawn (Jessica) Koch of Milton, Jason (Jessica) Koch of Burlington, Shelia Traxler of Westfield, Heidie Koch of Manitowoc, Heather (Josh) Brunk of Milton, John (Jaime) Koch of Oxford and Russell Koch of Mauston, and13 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous other family members.

Lila was preceded in death by her parents, husband and seven siblings: Harland, Lester, Muriel, Violet, Bernice, Sylvia and Mildred.

A memorial service for Lila will be held on Jan. 14, at 3 p.m. at the Oxford Seventh Day Adventist Church. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Pastor Nestor Soriano will preside and private family inurnment will take place at a later date at Hillside Cemetery in Whitewater.

Crawford Funeral and Cremation Service of Oxford and Montello is assisting the family with arrangements.
