God has another angel in heaven since Rita Louise Schraeder, 88, died Aug. 16, 2014. She will be greatly missed by her devoted husband of 66 years, Lawrence Schraeder, and the family she loved so very much.
After their wedding on Oct. 11, 1947, they lived on a farm in Eagle, until they moved to their current farm in East Troy on Nov. 1, 1954. Together they spent many years working their land and raising their six children.
Rita will always be remembered by her relatives and friends for her desire to give to others: flowers and vegetables from her bountiful gardens, fruit from her berry patches, or simply a glowing smile or a warm hug.
Survivors include her husband; children, Dorothy (David) Meisenheimer, Joseph, Thomas (Trici), Kathleen (Patrick) Barry, and John (Donna); nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son Paul.
Funeral services are at noon on Thursday, Aug. 21, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 1975 Beulah Ave., East Troy. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon at the church. Burial will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
