ETHLINE M. WRIGHT

Ethline M. Wright, of Milwaukee joyfully entered her heavenly home on March 12, 2014. She was born on Sept. 6, 1924, in Westmoreland Jamaica, to the late Dennis Samuells Reid, and Mary Ellen Reid (nee Cleghorn).

She married the Rev. Brian Garnet O’Brien Wright on Jan. 14, 1948, in Kingston Jamaica, together they served God and His Church as priest and nurse, to His Glory, until Brian preceded her in death on July 22, 1991.

Ethline, a registered nurse, committed her early years to Public Health Nursing in the remote parts of Jamaica, and after retiring from Lakeland Hospital in Elkhorn, spent many happy years serving God’s people through her Parish Nursing Ministry.

She touched the lives of so many with her laughter, stories, conviction to strong family values and unconditional love for her Jesus, and her family.

She will be deeply missed by sons, Donovan (Colleen), Oregon, and Peter (Vicki), Fort Atkinson; grandchildren, Vanessa Turrell, Theresa (Richard) Cassady, Donovan James (Christina), Damian (Kelly), Sara, Nicholas Niland, Olivia Niland, Matthew (Katie), Tiffany (David) Helmke; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Sr. Esther Reid of the Marist Missionary Sisters in Bedford, Mass.; brothers, Frank (Peggy) Reid and Ernest (Jo) Reid, both in England; stepbrother, Paul Reid; stepsister, Angela Williams, both in Florida; and many loved nieces and nephews, and dear former daughters-in-law, Helen Wright, Montana, and Catherine Lemon, England.

Ethline was further preceded in death by brothers, Dennis Reid, Fred Reid, George (Jappa) Reid and Donald Reid, and sisters Amy Reid, Edna Reid and Enid Melville, and loved nephews and nieces.

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday April 12, at St Paul’s Episcopal Church, 413 S. Second St., Watertown with the Rev. Elizabeth Tester officiating.

Visitation will be held at the church on from 1:30 p.m. until the time of services Saturday.

In honor of Ethline, a High Tea will be served in the Guild Hall, following the ceremony.

All memorials will be given to the charity dear to Ethline’s heart, The Saint Margaret’s Church Day Nursery, Kingston, Jamaica.
