ROGER W. CHAPMAN

Roger “Bill” William Chapman, 86, of Mukwonago, died April 6, 2014. He was born Aug. 18, 1927, to the late John and Isabelle (Murdock) Chapman.

He was a lifelong resident of Mukwonago. He graduated from Mukwonago High School in 1945 and was the third generation to run the family farm where he resided until his death.

He was employed by American Motors and retired from Pabst Brewery after a thirty-year career. Bill and Fern are the owners of Indian Creek Antiques.

He loved sports and played Land O’Lakes baseball for many years. He was an avid Brewer and Packer fan. In addition to farming he enjoyed gardening, traveling, and socializing with family and friends. His greatest love was his family.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Fern (Bornfleth); daughters, Wendy and Laurie; son, Michael; grandchildren, Allie Eastwood, Jordan Wheeler and Jonathan Wheeler; sister, Patricia; as well as extended family including a sister- and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.             He was further preceded in death by his brother Robert (Marianna); and three infant children, Billy, Ted and Mary.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 13, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 410 Highway NN East, Mukwonago, from 1 p.m. until the funeral service at 4 p.m. Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 14, at Rural Home Cemetery in Big Bend.
