MARQUERITE MARY CLANCY

Marguerite Mary Clancy, 92, of Delavan Lake and currently of Elkhorn, died at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center, Elkhorn on April 6, 2014. Marguerite was born May 11, 1921, in Chicago to Joseph A. Schrimpl and Angela M. Lavin. She married John J. Clancy on Oct. 23, 1948, in Chicago. John predeceased her in 2011.

Marguerite was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, A Woman of the Moose, The Elks Lodge of Delavan, the Romeoville Fire Deptartment Auxiliary, an active member of the Clown Hall of Fame and a volunteer at Lakeland Health Care Center.

Marguerite is survived by two sons, Patrick, of Elkhorn, and Sean (Cindy) Clancy, of Oxford, Conn.; two daughters, Elizabeth (John) Erickson, of Romeoville, Ill. and Mary (John) Oliveri, of Ruckersville, Va.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, a brother and a sister.

A memorial gathering will take place at the Betzer Funeral Home on April 13. Her daughter, Elizabeth, will lead in a service of remembrance at 4 p.m.
