ELIAS J. STOLLENWERK

Elias J. Stollenwerk, 35, of Jefferson, died Aug. 24, 2013, as a result of a motorcycle accident. He was born on Jan. 19, 1978, in Brookfield, to James and and the late Meggan (Hayes) Stollenwerk.

He married Jennifer Crouch on May 19, 2012 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Jefferson.

He graduated from Whitewater High School in 1997. He served in the U.S. Army from 1998 to 2005. He was a member of the Whitewater American Legion Post 173 in Whitewater.

He had planned on going back to school to become a respiratory therapist, he was to have started classes Aug. 26 prior to that he had been employed at Hypro Inc. in Whitewater.

Survivors include his wife; father and step-mother. James and Bridgid Ronan-Stollenwerk. Whitewater; sisters, Alexiaus (Stephen) Grabinski, Tomah, and Moira (Walter) Kalman, Hatley; grandmother, Mary Beth Hayes, Shalimar, Fla.; nieces and nephews, Robert and Meggan Kalman, Stephen, James and Ellie Grabinski, and Iris Ali; father-in-law, Russell Crouch, Port Charlotte, Fla., mother-in-law, Jane Crouch, Jefferson; sister-in-law, Kerri (Isaac) Ali, Tampa, Fla.; and other family and friends.

He was further preceded in death by his grandparents, LaVern Nyklewicz, Walter Stollenwerk and Lt. Col. Robert Hayes.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 29, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 324 E. North St., Jefferson.The Rev. Thomas Coyle will officiate. Military honors will follow.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 28, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Schneider-Michaelis Funeral Home, 900 W. Racine St., Jefferson, and Thursday morning at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass.
