LONNIE BROCKWELL

Lonnie G. Brockwell, 62, of Delavan, went to be with the Lord Aug. 3, 2013, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Janesville. He was born on Aug. 4, 1950, in Brinkley, Ark., to John and Lillian (Davis) Brockwell.

He married Marlene O’Daniel on July 9, 1969. He was a 1969 graduate of Delavan-Darien High School.

He began his career in auto body repair in 1968 working with his older brother Jim. In 1982, he opened his own business, Lon’s Auto Body in Walworth. Anyone who knew Lon knew an honest and true friend. If you never knew him, you missed out on someone special.

Survivors include his wife, Marlene; son, Steven (Rhonda) Deschner;  daughters, Lesa Brockwell and Patti (Ron) Stowers; grandsons, Jim (Missy) Stowers, Sean Stowers, Brantly Trumpy, Brock Deschner and Brian Deschner; granddaughter, Lilah Wojcik; great-grandchildren, Cotey Donahue and Searra Stowers; brothers, Harrel (Karen) Tidwell, Delavan, Wayne (Sandi), Darien, and Paul (Dawn) Brockwell, Delavan; sisters, Paulette Brockwell, Walworth, and Cindy (Bob) Lee, Clinton; his best friend Don (Red) Imhoff, Madison; in-laws, Dave (Sharlene) Leffelman, Apache Junction, Ariz., Georgiana O’Daniel, Janesville, Gordon (Anna) Greer, Delavan, and Earl Greer, Janesville; and several much loved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Ben Tidwell, Jim Tidwell, William Brockwell and Jerry Brockwell; nephews, Steve and Jim Tidwell.

A memorial service for Lon will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, at Toynton Funeral Home, 328 Kenosha St., Walworth. Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. until time of service on Saturday.
