ELIZABETH L. MEYER

 

Elizabeth L. Meyer died peacefully at her home on June 21, 2013, surrounded by her family.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her. Liz married the love of her life Stanley Meyer. She left her southern roots and moved north with him. They were married 50 years before the Lord called him home.

Liz was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Whitewater. She served on many committees for the church. Liz was a prominent Whitewater businesswoman; she owned and operated the Five Points Beauty Salon for 30 years.

She is survived by her seven children, Dennis, Wisconsin Dells, Sandra Frye (Fred Nolte), Bethel, Maine, Linda Kieffer, Lake Tomahawk, Ellen Streib (Jim), Milton, David (Chris), James (Vickie), and Brenda (Fred) Roloff, Fort Wayne, Ind.; 17 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; close friends, Art and Eva Hughes, John and Lu Loomis, and many extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister, a great-granddaughter, Kenya, her son-in-law, John Kieffer, and her daughter-in-law, Connie Meyer.

Funeral Services were held June 25, 2013 at First United Methodist Church, Whitewater, with Rev. Susan Bresser officiating. Burial was at Hillside Cemetery, Whitewater.

The family suggested memorials to First United Methodist Church in Whitewater.
