CHARLOTTE L. (GRAVES) RUSCH

Charlotte Louise (Graves) Rusch, age 91, of Whitewater, Wis., passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Fairhaven in Whitewater.

Charlotte was born on Nov. 29, 1921 in Whitewater, the daughter of John and Lottie (Hadley) Pierce. She was raised on her family’s farm in the Town of Richmond.

Charlotte graduated from Whitewater High School in 1939 and attended Whitewater Teacher’s College (aka UW-W) for 3 years.

On Jan. 15, 1944, Charlotte married George Graves Jr. of Beloit at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Whitewater. Together they lived in Beloit, before moving back to the family farm on Richmond-Whitewater Townline Road.

George preceded her in death in February of 1976.

On Dec. 1, 1979, Charlotte married Les Rusch and they resided in Janesville for over 20 years. Les preceded her in death in March of 2001.

Charlotte loved to dance. She ballroom danced and square danced.

Surviving are son, David (Connie) Graves, Elkhorn; grandchildren, Adam Graves, Austin, Texas, Lexi Graves, Elkhorn, and Shannon Graves, Elkhorn; and a great- grandson, Payton Graves, Austin, Texas.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, her son John Graves, and her two husbands.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 1, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel, 550 N. Newcomb St., Whitewater. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Whitewater.

Friends may call after 11 a.m. on Monday, April 1, 2013 at Nitardy Funeral Home, Whitewater, until the time of the services.
