Harry P. McSorley, 90, Delavan, died March 15, 2013 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn. He was born March 4, 1923 in Delavan to the late Benedict and Abbie (Goff) McSorley. Harry was united in marriage to Eunice Bethel on Jan. 22, 1947 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Delavan. He was a Delavan High School graduate, where he lettered in all major sports while in school. He remained an avid sports fan throughout his life. He was the owner and operator of McSorley Groceries and Meats in Delavan for many years. Then operated G & M Shop-Rite in Milwaukee and finally he worked in sales for Milwaukee Biscuit Company out of Rockford, Ill. before retirement.

He was a member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Delavan. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of American Legion Post 95 in Delavan. He is survived by his wife, Eunice of Delavan; daughter, Vicki (David) Krystowiak of Connecticut; son, Bill of Oconomowoc; grandchildren, Abby, Jeff, Matt, Kevin and Kelsey; sister, Janice Watts and brother, Don and son-in-law, J. Bascom. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was further preceded in death by daughter, Mary Sue Bascom and brothers, Robert and Phil.

Funeral mass will be 11 a.m. March 21 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Delavan with the Rev. Jim Schuerman officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to mass time on Thursday at the church. Burial will follow at St. Andrew’s Cemetery with full military honors provided by Post 95 of Delavan. Monroe Funeral Home in Delavan is assisting the family. Visit monroefh.com.
