JOHN F. CZARNECKI

John F. Czarnecki, 79, of East Troy died on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013.

He was born Nov. 7, 1933 in Milwaukee to John and Helen (nee Wisniewski) Czarnecki and attended Pulaski High School.

He married his bride Carol (nee Chybowski) at St. Cyrils in Milwaukee and they made East Troy their home for many years.

John served as a Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus and sang in the church choir.

He had an interest in ham radio, a love for fishing, ping pong and playing the concertina.

He was a retired member of the U.S. Army and played football for his army unit.

He is survived by his wife; children, Duane, Dale (June), June Notbusch, Gary and Neil (Kellie); sisters Sylvia Woida and Jeanne Kuhn; 13 grandchildren and 13 great- grandchildren.

John was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Sherry Hotz and brother Fred.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Jan. 19 from 9 a.m. until the time of a memorial service at 11 a.m. at St. Peters Catholic Church, 1981 Beulah Ave., East Troy.            Legacy Funeral Services is serving the family.

    I just learned of John’s death.

    He and I were high school classmates in Worthington, Ohio.

    He was a fine man. May he rest in peace.
