Whitewater CDA hoping to discuss neighborhoods plan

In the hopes of fleshing out a plan aimed at preserving Whitewater’s existing neighborhoods, a city panel devoted to economic development is putting out an open invitation to meet with two other city-based entities.

During a spirited discussion July 26, members of the Community Development Authority reached a consensus to try organizing a joint meeting with members of the Common Council and Plan and Architectural Review Commission.

At various points in recent years, members on each of the bodies have discussed the city’s current and future housing stock. CDA members last week said they are hoping to collaborate with others in the community so efforts are not done in a vacuum.

For more on the discussion that took place, see the Aug. 2 Whitewater Register.
