Homicide suspect in custody

Police believe it was a targeted incident

A Whitewater man was murdered earlier this week and the lone suspect is in custody, according to police.

Ken Myszkewicz, 43, was found dead in his home on West Peck Street in Whitewater early Tuesday morning. Police had received a 911 call for an unknown medical emergency.

The Whitewater Police Department issued a press release Tuesday, revealing that officers found Myskewicz unresponsive. He was pronounced dead by the medical examiner.

The department sent out an updated press release late Tuesday night to say they had the lone suspect in custody, with additional details to be released soon.

“The investigation thus far leads us to believe that this was a targeted incident and not a random act,” Whitewater Police Chief Lisa Otterbacher said. “We want to reiterate that we have no reason to believe that there is a threat to the public.”
