Major accomplishment

      This bulletin board at Lakeview Elementary School, created by school staff, honors the recent achievements of former student Ben Heller, who later graduated from Whitewater High School. The Cleveland Indians drafted Heller, a pitcher, in 2013 but late this summer the New York Yankees made a trade for him and he made his major league debut Aug. 26. Lakeview Principal David Brokopp said Heller’s success story is a great teaching tool, and ties in with the school’s theme this year, “Greatness does not just happen… you have to work for it.” (Submitted photo)
