It’s time to Play for Trey

Eighteen teams to descend on Treyton’s Field of Dreams this weekend

The Whitewater Parks and Recreation Department will host the first youth tournament since the construction of Treyton’s Field of Dream was completed – Toppers Pizza Play for Trey – this weekend.

This 10 and under and 12 and under baseball tournament will be held Saturday and Sunday, April 25 and 26 and is being sponsored by Toppers Pizza. A total of 18 teams will be visiting Whitewater for the tournament.

There is no admission charge for spectators however, no carry-ins of food or beverages is allowed. The concessions will be open and operated by the Parks and Recreation Department from the Community Building on site.

As part of Toppers sponsorship, they will have their food truck on site as well, selling Toppers Pizza and Sticks.

Tournament sponsorship is one of the available sponsorship opportunities at Treyton’s Field of Dreams and costs $1,000. The sponsor is provided the opportunity to be a title sponsor for a tournament, and sell product or promote their business at the tournament. Sponsors also receive a vinyl banner to be placed in the outfield of one of the diamonds, and sponsor a youth team in our program.

Action on the diamonds this weekend will begin at 9 a.m., Saturday and at 10 a.m., Sunday. Championship games for the 10 and under tournament will be held Sunday at 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m.; and for the 12 and under bracket at 10 a.m., noon and 4 p.m., also on Sunday.
