Whitewater police investigate bank robbery

Whitewater police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred around 4:40 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 21 at Fort Community Credit Union, 203 E. Milwaukee St. in Whitewater. The suspect, shown above entering the bank (in front), is estimated to be 35-55 years old, 5'-6" tall and weighing approximately 220 pounds.
Whitewater police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred around 4:40 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 21 at Fort Community Credit Union, 203 E. Milwaukee St. in Whitewater. The suspect, shown entering the bank (in front), is estimated to be 35-55 years old, 5′-6″ tall and weighing approximately 220 pounds.

On Wednesday, Jan. 21 at 4:43 p.m., City of Whitewater police officers responded to a robbery at Fort Community Credit Union, 203 E. Milwaukee St. in Whitewater. The suspect robbed the bank of an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect was carrying a black attaché type bag. The suspect implied he had a weapon and asked the bank teller to put the money in the bag. The teller gave the suspect the money and the suspect left the bank on foot, possibly in an easterly direction, and may have driven off in a gray, full-sized pickup truck with some type of equipment in the back.

No bank employees were injured in the robbery.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 35-55 years old, approximately 5′-6″ tall weighing approximately 220 pounds. The suspect was wearing a black stocking cap, black jacket with an emblem on the left chest area, sunglasses, and had a goatee or mustache that went down to his chin.
