Habitat for Humanity seeks homeowner

Orientation meeting slated June 14

Habitat for Humanity of Walworth County will soon be accepting homeowner applications for a home to be built in Whitewater this year.

To qualify, a family must meet the following criteria:

• Demonstrate a need for suitable housing;

• Have an ability to pay a mortgage including principal, insurance and taxes, and;

• Be willing to partner with Habitat for Humanity in the construction of their home as well as homes for others.

Applications will be available at the orientation meeting scheduled for Saturday, June 14. The Habitat for Humanity in Walworth County Family Selection Committee will process the applications received and recommend qualified families to the board of directors for the final selection.

The Family Selection Committee will use the above criteria in a way that does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, color, age, handicap, religion, marital status, or because all or part of the applicant’s income is derived from public assistance programs.
