Downtown East Gate Way project plans on agenda
The City of Whitewater will hold a public meeting Jan. 16 to present the reconstruction of the Downtown East Gate Way, a project slated for 2014.
On Thursday, Jan. 16, at the Cravath Lakefront Community Center, 341 S. Fremont St., the city will host the following: from 4:30 to 5 p.m., there will be an open house event followed by a presentation from 5 to 5:15 p.m.; from 5:15-6:15 p.m., an open house event will be held followed by a presentation from 6:15 to 6:30 p.m.
According to a press release, city staff and consultants continue to develop the final design documents for the Downtown East Gateway project.
Property owners and tenants in the project area, as well as the general public, are invited to attend the meeting to learn about the details of the project including construction scheduling and staging concepts.
Construction of the project is planned to begin in the spring of 2014.
