The third annual Savory Sounds Concert Series ended on a blues note on July 25 with a performance by blues singer and keyboard master Carl Cole. He was joined by his son, Andrew, on the electric bass guitar and his wife, Diana, for several songs.

The performance by the Cole family was sponsored by Fort Community Credit Union and the food vendor was Rocky Rococo Pizza.

The four earlier Savory Sounds concerts this summer were sponsored by Fairhaven Senior Services, Quiet Hut Sports, First Citizens State Bank and Olm & Associations, with food available through Subway, The SweetSpot, La Preferida and The Black Sheep.

Special thanks to Whitewater Arts Alliance board member Abigail Pulvermacher for organizing this year’s Savory Sounds concert series.

The other members of the Whitewater Arts Alliance Board include Brent Bresser, Katherine Conover, Anne Coburn, Diane Flood, Everett Long, Mark McPhail and Robert Mertens.

Other important volunteers for the Whitewater Arts Alliance include Danielle Chaviano (website), Mary Kenne (volunteer coordinator) and Marjorie Soneman (publicity and Facebook).

The Savory Sounds Concert Series will continue next summer in the same format: five concerts on Thursdays over six weeks, skipping the week of the Fourth of July.
