Head to Whitewater for the Holly Days

Santa will make his annual trip to Whitewater during the city’s annual Happy Holly Days Parade on Friday, Nov. 30.

Floats and marchers will light up Whitewater’s Main Street at 6 p.m.

The route will begin at Whiton Street, travel east on Main Street, turn on Whitewater Street and end at the SweetSpot, 226 W. Whitewater St.

The parade, sponsored by Downtown Whitewater, will kick off a fun-filled weekend of Holly Days festivities.

Businesses will be celebrating in a variety of ways by featuring entertainment, treats and family fun.

Live window story telling will take place from 5 to 6 p.m. at the following local businesses:

· FrameDog, 145 W. Main St. – “‘Twas the Night before Christmas”

· Quiet Hut Sports, 186 W. Main St. – “A Christmas Carol”

· Dales Bootery, 155 W. Main St. – “A Polar Express”

The Church of Living Word Fellowship, 177 W. Main St., will be selling hot chocolate and hosting gingerbread house decorating from 5-6 p.m. The cost is $5 and a non-perishable food item to be donated to the Whitewater Food Pantry. For more information, call Kim of GMA Printing at (262) 473-2711.

Downtown Whitewater will provide roasted chestnuts from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on the corner of Main and First streets.

The Whitewater Area Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring its annual Holly Days Open House on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 1 and 2, featuring a number of holiday activities and gift certificate give-a-ways.

The Chamber is also selling Holly Days raffle tickets for $5 each or five for $20 with the chance of winning $2,000 in Chamber Cheques, including a $1,000 first prize.

The drawing will be held Dec. 2 at 5 p.m. in the chamber office, 171 W. Main St. For more information, call (262) 473-4005.
