Girls at Agape House vote for best pizza

Four Walworth County pizza restaurants donated four pizzas each to provide dinner for the girls and staff at Agape House in Walworth on Saturday, and the girls got to choose which place served the best pizza in Walworth County.

In a blind taste test, the girls chose Nayeli’s in Walworth, but event organizer Jim Phillips, of Lake Geneva, said all four restaurants that donated the pizzas are considered No. 1 in the county.

Nayeli’s owner Ismael Sanchez was given a certificate that shows he won the competition. Sanchez said he will proudly display the certificate.

The event was partially sponsored by Thrivent Financial through Phillips, who used one of his action team events to provide dinner for Agape House. The girls were given Fannie May candy and flowers for Valentine’s Day along with healthy snacks and knitting needles – two of the items on Agape House’s wish list for donations.

Other items on the wish list are large cans of Progresso soup, crochet hooks, chicken, beef and pork, bags of salt, a 30-cup coffee maker and bean bag chairs.
