The Big Foot High School Acting Company is set to take the stage with a performance of the classic, “Annie,” about an orphan who is befriended by a billionaire.

Rachel Wenndt directs the musical; David Olson is the musical director; Mr. Greben serves as the set designer, and; Mitchell Schaefer is in charge of sound.

“Annie” will be performed at 7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 17 and Saturday, Feb. 18 in the Big Foot High School Auditorium. Ticket prices are $8 for adults and $6 for children 12 years old and younger.

The pit crew is comprised of Big Foot High School students while the pit orchestra will feature the musical talents of both BFHS and University of Wisconsin-Whitewater students.

The cast includes the following, some fulfilling multiple roles: Annie – Melissa Konkel; Miss Hannigan – Carrie Nickels; Oliver Warbucks and Eddie – Nathan McIntyre; Grace Farrell and Boylan 2 – Molly McEneany; Rooster Hannigan, Bundles and Man 2 – Colten Flom; Lily St. Regis – Anna MacLeod; President Franklin D Roosevelt, Lt. Annie is the classic story of an orphan who is invited to spend Christmas with the billionaire Oliver Warbucks. Although they form a tight bond, Annie is determined, with the help of Mr. Warbucks and even President Franklin D. Roosevelt, himself, to find her real parents who promised to return for her.

A hefty reward attracts many unsavory characters, including the matron of the orphanage Miss Hannigan, her no-good brother Rooster, and his girlfriend Lily St. Regis to try and dupe Mr. Warbucks out of the money.

Now, Mr. Warbucks must find a way to keep Annie out of their hands and hopefully be able to adopt her.

Big Foot High School is at 401 Devil’s Ln., Walworth.
